Old-fashion Recipes for Fun Snacks

Our first recipe is for elephant tracks.  What fun to8-quarts popped popcorn
make this dough and enjoy the cinnamon taste.Cook brown sugar, 2 sticks margarine, corn syrup,
ELEPHANT TRACKSand salt until melted.  Boil 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.  Add 1
1 1/2 cup milk2 tsp margarine.  Add baking soda; pour over
1 cup oleopopped corn.  Stir well to coat all the corn.  Bake
1/4 cup sugarin  two cake pans or large roasting pan at 250

2 eggs, beatenAnd our third recipe is for rock candy.  Kids love

5 to 5 1/2 cups flourflavorings of their choice.
1 cup sugarROCK CANDY
2 tsp cinnamon1 3/4 cups sugar
Scald milk; add oleo and the 1/4 cup sugar.  Cool to1/2 cup water
lukewarm.  Dissolve yeast in water.  Add to milk1/2 cup white corn syrup
mixture along with eggs.  Add salt and flour.  StirFlavoring of your choice*
well with spoon to make soft dough.  Let riseFood color of your choice
once.  Roll dough into rectangles 1/2-inch thick. Mix sugar, water, and syrup in a heavy saucepan. 
Spread with oleo and sprinkle with cinnamon mixtureHeat to 300 degrees, stirring constantly.  Remove
made with remaining ingredients.  Roll up as forfrom heat; add flavoring and color.  Stir and pour
cinnamon rolls and cut into 3/4 inch slices.  Dredgeinto a pan that has been well greased with
